Cities for a Resilient Recovery (C2R) is a coalition of cities and resilience practitioners committed to taking leadership, to embedding resilience in recovery, and to supporting each other through the recovery planning process by sharing knowledge, providing subject matter expertise, and facilitating both individual and collective action.

Educational Partnerships for Innovation in Communities – Network (EPIC-N)

The Educational Partnerships for Innovation in Communities - Network (EPIC-N) unites local governments, and communities, with the human capital of universities to improve the quality of life and social wealth for all involved. EPIC-N is the nonprofit association of institutions that adopt the award-winning EPIC model for university-community partnership.

New vertical garden allows food bank to serve up fresh greens

A food bank in Cloverdale, B.C., will begin growing its own food in the new year with two indoor growing walls capable of producing up to 600 pounds of fresh produce each year.  These vertical gardens are soil-less, require no weeding and take up minimal space.  (The president of the organization behind this initiative was one of my students – he worked on this project in one of my classes last year.)  See full story here.  

This New Neighborhood Will Grow Its Own Food, Power Itself, And Handle Its Own Waste

ReGen Villages architectural partner EFFEKT is presenting our northern climate context version of ReGen Villages as the centerpiece of the Danish architectural pavilion for the upcoming Venice Biennale in May of 2016.

This will also be the global press announcement for ReGen Villages partnerships, development pipeline plans and launch of the marketing outreach program for the first 100 homes breaking ground in Almere, Netherlands this summer of 2016.
