I specialize in resource extraction, territorial land claims and corporate-indigenous relations. I am a research associate at the Centre for Sustainable Community Development at Simon Fraser University and an independent writer and advocate for responsible resource development and indigenous rights. My big question is who gets what from mining and why? Located in Canada, I have focused primarily on mineral mining and exploration activities in northern British Columbia and Ontario. I have a PhD in Geography from Simon Fraser University, a MSc in Rural Planning and Development from the University of Guelph and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Calgary.
