Civic engagement is the encouragement of the general public to become involved in the political process and the issues that affect them. It is the community coming together to be a collective source of change, political and non-political.  Citizen participation is a process that provides private individuals an opportunity to influence public decisions.

The 2019 International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) will be held on September 24-25, 2019 at Columbia University in New York City, USA. The theme of 2019 is “Good Practice: Models, Partnerships, and Capacity Building for the SDGs.” The call for abstracts is open! In order to present at ICSD you must submit an abstract by May 1.
