CSCD Comments on SDSN Draft Indicators Report

Background: The Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) will expire in 2015. At Rio+20, it was decided that the follow-up should be called Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Sustainable Development Solutions Network is one of the organizations commissioned by Ban-Ki Moon to help develop the SDGs.

Taken from SDSN's website:

Launched by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in August 2012, the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) mobilizes scientific and technical expertise from academia, civil society, and the private sector in support of sustainable development problem solving at local, national, and global scales

In February 2014, the SDSN published a draft report with 100 indicators for the SDGs. This can be found here:

The public consultation period ends March 28. As one of 3 National Members in Canada, we would like to make sure CSCD contributes to the process. Attached to this post is a document with my comments, which I have tried to base on CSCD's principles. Please comment if you have any feedback!
